Poppies

I found these two large wooden triangles at a thrift store and decided to make them into art. After being stumped for several months at what I could paint on them, I used a stamp I had previously carved in an art class for the gold background. I then used acrylic paint (and perhaps some inspiration from the scene in "The Wizard of Oz" where the main characters fall asleep in the poppy field) to paint the poppy blooms.

You could hang them together or even separately. However, I am selling them together for $25.

If you are interested please visit my store Encomium to purchase them or to simply browse at my other products!
